The Association appreciates the help of educators who tell students with critical financial need and adversity about the Horatio Alger scholarship opportunities. The Horatio Alger Association Collegiate Partners Program is a consortium of colleges and universities who share the Association's mission to provide scholarship assistance to deserving young people who have high financial need, demonstrated integrity, determination in overcoming personal adversity, and a commitment to making a contribution to society.
Field Directors are volunteers involved in education who serve as the localized representatives of the Horatio Alger Association. There is at least one field director in each of the fifty states and Puerto Rico. Field Directors promote the Association's scholarship programs within their state.
Many counselors serve as the front-line resource for students as they complete the scholarship application. The 2015 Horatio Alger Scholarship application is closed for high school seniors graduating in spring 2015. The application process is open from August 1-October 25 of each year for high school seniors graduating in the spring.
The Idaho, Louisiana, and Montanastate scholarship programs are currently open until April 15, 2015 for high school seniors graduating in May 2015.
